Non-parties to a Case: Individuals who are not parties to a case can subscribe to the case search tool, Xchange. Users can use this service in three ways:
- As a monthly subscription account: The user pays a $25 initial deposit and $40 per month to access cases. The user has access to 500 free searches, after which a search costs 35 cents, and a document costs $1.
- As a guest: The user pays a $10 deposit, each search is charged at 35 cents, and a document costs $1. If the user does not use all $10, it is forfeited.
- As a one-time researcher: The inquirer pays a $10 initial fee. Each search is charged at 35 cents, and documents cost $1. The charges are paid from the initial fee. If the user does not complete the initial deposit, they can create an account and return later to use it.

In-Person Access

A requester can walk into the court clerk's office or the courthouse where a case was heard in Box Elder County to request a court record. The records provided by a clerk could be public or non-public. For a public record request, unless the court clerk waives the requirement to submit a written request to obtain public court records, requesters are required to complete a written request to procure a court record.
